Meet Our Team
Happy Valley FitLink is happy to welcome you into our fitness and wellness community! Our community would not be possible without you and the help of our amazing team. Feel free to get to know our team below!
Dr. Jacob Corey, Co-Founder
Hi, my name is Jacob Corey. I graduated from Penn State University in 2020 with a B.S. in Kinesiology and from the University of Delaware with a M.S in Clinical Anatomy and Health Sciences and a DPT. I am a physical therapist with experience working with children and adults with varying ability levels and conditions such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, limb loss, and traumatic brain injury. I have experience working with children ages 3-21 years old in the school setting and adults/seniors from 18-98 years old, and my clinical focus has been focused on working with my patients and their caregivers to help enhance their quality of life by finding ways to enhance/increase an individual's access to mobility. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at the University of Delaware, where I am examining strategies to make physical activity more accessible and engaging for individuals with disabilities.
In my free time, I love to get outside to be physically active with friends by going hiking, walking my dogs (Bonnie and Clyde), playing basketball or camping. Come join me at our Sunday Zoom class weekly!

Dr. Jonna Belanger, Co-Founder
Hi y'all! My name is Dr. Jonna Belanger, and I am an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Penn State. My B.S in Kinesiology, M.S. in Adapted Physical education, and PhD in Adapted Physical Activity are all from Texas Woman's University. I have had the amazing opportunity to work in a variety of settings within the field of Kinesiology, which includes physical therapy tech, exercise physiologist in cardiac rehabilitation, and K-12 adapted physical educator. As an Assistant Teaching Professor, I teach a variety of classes like Wellness Theory, Women in Sports, Growth and Motor Development, Disability Sports, and Adapted Physical Education. In total, I have been teaching in higher education for over 10 years, and I have 13+ years of teaching from preschool to older adults. My passion is in adapted sports, recreation, and fitness.

In the spring and summer, I am active as a U.S. Paralympic Track and Field Classifier. Outside of volunteering my time with the USOPC and FitLink, I have two little boys and a wonderful husband. We enjoy lots of outdoor activities, but in more recent years, that translates as we watch a lot of youth sports. Outside of kids sports, my husband is a local mechanic and has a huge interest in antique and classic vehicles, which means I can kind of talk "car stuff".
Lexi Baublitz, Co-Founder
Hello, my name is Lexi Baublitz! During my time at Penn State, I majored in Kinesiology with an emphasis in applied exercise health. I truly have a passion for working with others, as I absolutely love to both teach and coach. I have always been active and involved in sports and fitness ever since I can remember. At my time at Penn State, I really wanted to make a difference in the community and to bring the joy of movement to others. Because Dr. Jonna, Jacob, and I had the same vision, we worked so hard to develop Happy Valley FitLink into what it is today. Happy Valley FitLink is such a blast, and I am so excited to see what lies ahead for this amazing program. I really encourage anyone and everyone to join us for our weekly classes!
